Fabric, patterns and notions orders: We aim to dispatch your order on the first working day (working days being Tuesday to Saturday) following receipt of payment.

Custom made orders: We will email you to confirm your custom request and you will be given an estimated delivery date.  We generally have a two week garment make time, unless our order book is full, in which case we will contact you with an estimated delivery date and you will be given the option to cancel the order at this time if our delivery capability does not fit with your requirements.

Please note: deliveries may take longer during our busier times, such as during sales and promotions. If for any reason there is likely to be a delay in dispatching your order, such as stock availability we will notify you by email.

We use Royal Mail First Class post for all UK deliveries and DHL for all EU/Worldwide deliveries.

Returns Policy

Please contact us before you return any order.

If an item does arrive faulty or damaged, please contact us by email within 2 working days of receiving and we can arrange for a replacement or a refund.

The items must be in their original condition, unused and wherever possible, including the original packaging.  Any refund excludes postage costs paid for delivery.

The Cloth Fox cannot accept liability for returns lost in the post, so we strongly recommend that you obtain a Certificate of Posting or use Recorded Delivery.

Goods cannot be returned once they have been used or cut into under any circumstances. Please check for any faults or decide if you wish to keep the item or not before cutting into or starting to use them. This is in line with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

We make every effort to represent our products as accurately as possible, however colours can appear differently, depending on individual screen settings. If you are unsure about a fabric, we suggest you contact us for a fabric sample.

We accept ready to wear* clothing returns (except custom orders) in their original sale condition within 14 days of purchase, and will issue a full refund for these items. Your refund will be credited to the original payment method.  We are also able to offer an exchange for returned items.

Unwanted goods must be returned in a fully resalable condition and any packaging must be intact. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if goods are not returned in a saleable condition or worn or are damaged.

Custom order clothing returns: Goods that have been custom made to the buyers specifications (i.e. clothing/goods) are non returnable and non refundable, unless the goods are deemed faulty.  In this instance you will be offered a refund or a remake of the item.

At the time of making custom orders you will be charged a non-refundable £20 deposit that will either be offset by the final bill of sale, or should the item not be picked up by the customer will be kept as a charge for default.

  • The term “ready to wear” clothing means any garment that has not been made to order.

How do I return an unwanted item?

Please contact The Cloth Fox by email, phone, direct message or return to the shop to advise us of your return/exchange needs.  Goods must be returned to The Cloth Fox, 10 St Thomas Street, Lymington, Hampshire, SO41 9NA.

Unfortunately, as a small business we are currently unable to provide a free returns service for our customers and any returned item will need to be made at your own expense.

We recommend that you receive proof of postage for your returned items as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

Can I exchange an item?

Yes, if your returned goods meet the criteria set out for a refund and you would prefer to exchange the goods we are happy to oblige (any additional funds will be charged or refunded at the time of exchange if the exchange item costs more or less than the original).

When will I receive my refund?

Once we have received your return parcel in the post we will email you to confirm your parcel has been received by us. Please allow 3-5 working days for returns to be processed once they are received by us.

If you have requested a refund for your order we will send you the refund the same way you made payment. For example if you paid for your order by Debit Card, your refund will be sent back via your Debit Card.

Please  allow 5-7 working days for the refund to show in your account once the refund has been processed.
