  • How do I place an order?
You can place an order in a number of ways, you can visit us at the shop, call us on 07900 600665, email us at hello@foxandbeedesign.co.uk or via the website
  • Do you make custom makes?
Yes. We are happy to make any of our designs with a choice of customisations, you can choose from our range of vintage or new fabrics, or we can use your own fabric. You can order online (see our Custom Order pages) or visit us at the shop and we can have a chat about what you want and show you various options. Please note: custom orders cannot be returned or refunded, this is because the garment has been made to your own specifications and therefore it’s not resaleable as an off-the-shelf- item in the shop.
  • Do you provide fabric samples?
Yes, if you are ordering online and can’t get to the shop to see the fabric, we are happy to provide a sample to you. A small charge of 50p per sample is made to cover our costs as well as postage charge to you at £1.50.
  • Do you do alterations and repairs?
No. We don’t offer this service at Fox & Bee, however we work with, and recommend, Ginny Made It, a local dressmaker who provides an alterations and repair service. Visit the Ginny Made It pages on our website to see her range of services and prices and contact her to book your work in.
  • Do you do bespoke designs and couture?
No. Fox & Bee aren’t offering a bespoke service, we have made the decision whilst we start up the business that we need to focus on designing for our key collections, so at the moment we cannot take any work to create/alter or copy patterns for a bespoke/couture service. Please contact Ginny Made It for a consultation on her dressmaking service.
  • Do you run workshops and teach sewing?
Yes and no! Yes we run workshops each month which are focused on building a basic wardrobe. Visit our Workshops page for details. No, we don’t currently teach basic sewing classes, however we are looking to expand our workshops offer so keep checking back (or sign up to our newsletter) for what’s new.
  • Are your fabrics pre-shrunk or washed?
No. Fabrics come to us directly from our wholesalers and have no pre-treatments prior to packaging. Therefore, we always recommend as best practice that you always pre-wash your fabric prior to laying out and cutting your pattern in case of any shrinkage. Some fabrics are particularly prone to shrinkage, such as linen, denim, wools and wool blends (not an exhaustive list). Fox & Bee can bear no responsibility for any shrinkage experienced within any fabric purchased from us.
  • Your prices are very good, is the fabric seconds?"
No. We just believe that fabric doesn’t have to cost the earth! We source a range of fabric from a range of suppliers, quality varies and we price accordingly. Where we have specifically bought fabric labeled as “seconds” then we will advertise and price it accordingly and ensure that you are aware of any faults within the design. However, as is the nature of any fabric, there may be natural slubs (errors) within the fabric, therefore we encourage you to check your fabric before washing and cutting it to ensure that you are happy with the fabric supplied, using the fabric (i.e. washing and cutting it) deems to be acceptance of the goods. We cannot accept returns if the fabric has been used, washed or cut into in anyway.
  • How accurate are the colours on your images?
We take every care that the fabric colour is as accurate as possible on our computer monitors. However we can’t guarantee an exact match because colours can vary from monitor to monitor depending on your computer’s calibration. We recommend that you order samples so you can check that the colour is exactly what you want.
